Bhagavad Gita Translation

Can a human being successfully translate Bhagavad Gita… a sacred holy text as abstract as it could ever be! As many human beings… as many different interpretations of Bhagavad Gita could there be. In the circumstances… to expect a correct Bhagavad Gita translation was totally out of question. No scriptural text belonging to any religion of world could ever be translated. All the attempted translations of scriptural texts never conveyed the intended abstract meaning.

Something that needs to be contemplated… something that could be comprehended only by traveling path of jnana (wisdom)… something that could be learnt only in company of revered saints and sages… how could an ordinary mortal attempt translation of the same. Translation of Bhagavad Gita was just impossible. Only a commentary on Bhagavad Gita could be written and that too by an enlightened one… a bodhi… a Jina… a Mahavira.

Travelers of religious path who had no inkling what spirituality was all about… indulged in varied translations of Bhagavad Gita. Such people never truly learnt anything in life. For them reading translations of Bhagavad Gita was merely a ritual. Why indulge in translations of Bhagavad Gita when sufficient scriptural texts relating to life of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana were available… both of whom gained enlightenment in their lifetime.
