Questions on Bhagavad Gita… queries on Bhagavad Gita can only be solved in company of an enlightened one… one who is a bodhi, a Jina… which simply means knower of all. None other than an enlightened one could solve our problems relating to Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism. The teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita were sublime, abstract… beyond catch of normal intellect. Spiritual messages to be understood in totality required contemplation all the time.
Most human beings on mother earth want to go easy way. They do not want to indulge in contemplation… path of self enquiry that directly led to God Almighty. Path of contemplation was extremely difficult to follow, prime reason why most human beings preferred path of rituals… path of religion which was comparatively much easier to travel! People failed to realize that God Almighty could not be reached via path of religion… path of rituals!
The best way to solve queries within was indulgence in Satsanga… spiritual forums where like-minded people collected together to cross-examine various aspects of spirituality detailed in Bhagavad Gita. Traveling path of spirituality meant… reducing queries within slowly step-by-step. Attending spiritual congregations, Satsanga, when we get answers to our queries… we felt extremely elated. We almost felt on the top of world.
As questions on Bhagavad Gita can only be resolved through discussions, contemplation… we must indulge in Satsanga at regular intervals. Reading books related to Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana is also great help. Both of these spiritual masters indulged in path of contemplation, path of self enquiry to reach God. I get many queries from people world over expressing their difficulty to organize a Satsanga in absence of like-minded people.
It is an absolute fact of life that in present materialistic age… more preference was given to physical manifest life than spiritual inclinations. We most of time pursued path prompted by our ego and remained indulged in rituals, path of religion! God Almighty never existed in clay idols kept in temples. Going to temples, churches or mosques helped only when we indulged in fruitful discussions with other members of congregation.
Why go to a temple, church or mosque if our goal of life was searching God. Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism explicitly says to follow path of jnana yoga (path of absolute wisdom) to understand Bhagavad Gita in totality. Questions, queries relating to 700 shlokas verses of Bhagavad Gita are many… numerous, but if we had the will to succeed in this very life… we shall definitely find solution to our problems and reach God one day! Most spiritual queries had their answer in truth expressed in Bhagavad Gita.
By remaining truthful all the time… by indulging in good karma, positive karma all the time we can travel spiritual path as ordained in Bhagavad Gita. Most human beings underestimated power of absolute truthfulness. Reduced indulgence in vice, negative karma helps one reduce clutter from within. Our thinking process must become absolutely clean and pure. Lesser invocation of negative thoughts… faster we progressed on our spiritual journey.
The secrets of life hidden in Bhagavad Gita can be easily unveiled by seeking company of an enlightened one, one who is knower of all! Most people world over wondered… from where to get the company of an enlightened one! Such human beings… who were totally enlightened were not to be found anywhere. In absence of spiritual master, spiritual progress got stunted, limited! This predicament of not finding a right spiritual master in present times is a difficult proposition.
My advice to all spiritual seekers would always be… search for a spiritual master, a Guru to understand gist of Bhagavad Gita. However, if you fail to find one… assimilate all that was written about Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana. Following path undertaken by enlightened ones finally leads to gaining enlightenment in present life. We could never read anything spiritual literally… we had to learn to read in between the lines.
Whether it was wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita or Upanishads (independent treatises)… one could understand scriptural texts only by reading them with an open mind. If we are truthful… the essence of sacred teachings would slowly reach us. By following path of self enquiry… by indulging in contemplation… we can slowly step-by-step proceed ahead on spiritual journey. The path of spirituality is unknown yet, we can finally make it in this life… if we had the will to do or die!
