ज्ञानेन तु तदज्ञानं येषां नाशितमात्मनः ।
तेषामादित्यवज्ज्ञानं प्रकाशयति तत्परम् ॥५-१६॥
Transliteration:
In Bhagavad Gita chapter 5 verse 16 Lord Krishna further says: human beings who succeeded in permanent removal of their ignorance did it via path of jnana yoga (path of absolute wisdom). By travelling spiritual path, moment human beings realized hidden inner truths of life… they reached stage of an enlightened one (a kaivalya jnani). Stage of enlightenment can only be reached by negating karma to zero. Devoid of dross impurities within… the soul atman finally regained its lost original pure prime pristine primordial form.
Negation of karma in totality means reaching stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi (absolute nothingness) forever. Now the enlightened one can have a communion with God Almighty on one-to-one basis… and that too permanently! Reaching our true inner self implied reaching God Almighty in all its glory. In absence of dross impurities within, having become a pure soul atman one could remain in contact with God Almighty every second of life. As per Bhagavad Gita… our soul atman was of the same essence as God Almighty.
If an individual grain of sand was an independent soul atman… the whole mound God Almighty! To reach God in all its glory… we had to reach our true inner self via path of pure spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita! Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism contained truth but absolute truth. It is via path of jnana yoga human beings finally reached source of all truth in life. Realizing self, realizing God is reaching God almighty… reaching cosmic end of life! Walking path of Tattva jnana, any human being world over could easily reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)!
The Explanation:
Via Bhagavad Gita chapter 5 verse 16 Lord Krishna has tried to convey to mankind that by travelling path of Tattva jnana… any human being world over could easily make it to God! Tattva jnana in present times can only be gained by indulging in teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism. Tattva jnana is travelling path of truth but only truth.
If we desire demolishing our ignorance forever… our travelling spiritual path was an absolute must! By indulging in religion (path of rituals) one never reached God. Assimilating pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita, I finally realized God in 1993 at 37 years of age! To remove our ignorance, travelling path of self enquiry (Neti… not this, not this) was necessitated!
Contemplation on God Almighty can only be practiced via path of spirituality… never via path of religion (rituals). Lying in shavasna pose of yoga any human being world over can easily indulge in path of self enquiry (Neti) to reach God in present life. Realizing our true inner self… reaching our soul atman, the spirit within… is reaching God in present life!
As presence of sun removes darkness, travelling path of jnana yoga removed ignorance of human beings forever! To reach God… we have not to gain anything. Rather we have to dispel forces of darkness existing within our soul atman, the spirit within! These forces of darkness can only be removed by travelling path of spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism.
The sermon of Bhagavad Gita given by Lord Krishna in battle of Mahabharata forms summum bonum of spirituality, epitome of spiritual pursuit! After assimilating teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita… there was nothing further to be pursued by human beings! In the presence of sun… the light of a candle carried no meaning.
People desirous of reaching God in present life must always bear one thing in mind… never travel path of religion (path of rituals) that never led one to God Almighty. For knowing the essence of our spirit, for realizing our true inner self… for reaching our soul atman, the consciousness within… undertaking spiritual journey was mandated by God Almighty!
No matter how best we tried… one could never tread spiritual path in absence of contemplation on teachings of Bhagavad Gita. Mere bookish knowledge carried no meaning in spiritual world. Tattva jnana can only be realized through path of Sankhya yoga (jnana yoga). Simultaneously we also need to travel path of nishkama karma yoga to reach God.
