नादत्ते कस्यचित्पापं न चैव सुकृतं विभुः ।
अज्ञानेनावृतं ज्ञानं तेन मुह्यन्ति जन्तवः ॥५-१५॥
Transliteration:
In Bhagavad Gita chapter 5 verse 15 Lord Krishna clearly says that law of karma was self rotating… independent of all other cosmic laws! It further clarifies that God Almighty never interfered with creation of his. Neither did God Almighty interfere with established laws of karma nor the destiny of mankind. Laws of karma do not relate to world of human beings alone. Every single living being in entire cosmos was governed by inscrutable laws of karma… as we sow so shall we reap, nothing less or more!
As detailed in Bhagavad Gita chapter 5 verse 15, if we indulged in papa karma (wrongdoings), we only would reap fruits of negative karma performed! No other living being including human beings would be responsible for our part of karma. Also if we indulged in Punya karma (good deeds)… we only would reap fruits of positive karma performed. At all stages of life… none other than us reaped fruits of karma performed by us! As our soul atman, the consciousness within was all the time governing… the fruits of karma always belonged to our soul atman and never the manifest physical human form.
Lord Krishna further says… we were primarily a pure soul atman, the consciousness within in the earlier stages of life! In its cosmic sojourn our soul atman, the spirit within gathered impurities similar as a rolling ball gathers moss. To cleanse self of dross impurities within starts cosmic life cycle of every soul atman. The ultimate goal of life of every living form, every human being always remained… our soul atman, the spirit within gaining purity at the earliest! It was only by indulgence in karma… every soul atman, the spirit within moved ahead in cosmic life cycle!
As no soul atman could purify self of its own… it needs a medium, a body to work out its karma… remove dross impurities within! For removal of dross impurities within human beings indulging in jnana (wisdom) contained in sacred scriptures of various religions of world was necessitated. Only by assimilating pearls of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita… human beings slowly unveiled the pure consciousness within! Step-by-step in stages our soul atman, the spirit within gained purity when human beings travelled spiritual path!
The dross impurities within a soul atman can only be removed in human form! As per Bhagavad Gita… human form was the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle. As a human being it becomes our duty to assist our soul atman, the spirit within in regaining its lost original pure prime pristine primordial form at the earliest. By indulging in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism… human beings ultimately realized this absolute goal of life. The sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism was one such scripture assimilating which our soul atman, the spirit within became totally pure!
It is only through path of karma yoga and jnana yoga (absolute wisdom) human beings finally reached stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha). Human beings reaching stage of enlightenment announced negation of dross impurities within a soul atman in entirety! Our karma reduced to zero, the purified soul atman finally liberated self from cycle of birth and death forever. In absence of dross impurities within… the need for a soul atman to manifest life any further now ceased to exist!
Contrary to path of karma yoga, jnana yoga… most human beings world over mesmerized by glare of worldly riches followed path of senses dictated by their bloated ego (Aham in Hinduism). Such ignorant of spiritual path failed to realize that unless we established absolute control over five senses and mind… our soul atman, the spirit within would never be able to reach its logical end… 8.4 millionth manifestation, last in cosmic life cycle! Living worldly life carried no meaning in spiritual world. If we are to assist our soul atman within, we have to travel path of spirituality… never path of religion, path of rituals!
As detailed by Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita… no human being can ever reach God via path of religion (path of rituals). Remaining engrossed in trivialities of life… we are only prolonging our cosmic journey! Why indulge and mar our future!
The Explanation:
Lord Krishna vide bhagavad gita chapter 5 verse 15 makes it absolutely clear that at no stage of life God Almighty was governing. Ever since creation of entire cosmos, when God Almighty exploded self with a big bang… all pure souls atmans scattered all over cosmos at unimaginable speeds. In the melee, the hurtling souls’ atmans gathered impurities! To cleanse self of dross impurities within started cosmic life cycle of every soul atman!
We are primarily a spiritual being, a spirit that manifested human form to work out its karma! We have been given a limited time span of 1.1 million manifestations in human form to reach last stage of cosmic life… 8.4 millionth manifestation, the stage when human beings gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha). The initial 7.3 million manifestations by a soul atman were covered in insect, plant and animal life.
God Almighty exists since times immemorial. It always acts as a Dhrishta (onlooker)… never interfering with creation of his at any stage of life! The entire cosmic system is indirectly governed by inscrutable laws of karma. None in cosmos could defy established laws of karma. As we sow so shall we reap… nothing less or more, says doctrine of karma! As per laws of karma, at the time of death of body… the residual balance of karma becomes opening balance for next manifestation!
In laymen terms this simply means that the system of God is not disordered at any stage of life as stipulated by Stephen Hawking in his famous book… “A brief history of time”! Everything in cosmos moves with clockwork precision. If the residual balance of karma demands our manifesting form of a laborer in next life, next manifestation… one just could not be born a Prince. Miracles do not exist in system of God Almighty. Mahavira, 24th Tirthankara of Jainism (preceptor) was absolutely clear in their surmise of his!
We just could not expect mangoes to grow on a guava tree. Everything results from karma of past or present! If we desire a happy future ahead… we have to work for it by indulging in good karma, positive karma all the time! We just could not leave anything to chance. For papa karma (wrongdoings) indulged by us… we would suffer at hands of destiny sometimes in future! For Punya karma (good deeds) indulged by us, we only would reap fruits of the same now or in near future. Why blame God Almighty for our woes!
As every soul atman was pure in the beginning of time, it is by travelling spiritual path we need removing dross impurities within our soul atman. Travelling path of jnana yoga was only the medium… our soul atman gaining absolute purity, the ultimate goal of life! Every human being inherently was ignorant because of presence of dross impurities within a soul atman. As dross impurities within a soul atman gradually decreased… one became wiser in the journey of life!
Prompted by a bloated ego most human beings world over gloated over glare of material riches! We never wanted to realize that nothing materialistic could ever be carried to next journey of life! After death of present body what gets carried was residual balance of karma… positive or negative! It was in our interest to generate Punya karma in present manifestation! Only then we could hope for a better manifestation ahead. Gloating over physical possessions is not being wise. Why indulge and mar future manifestations.
Just by indulging in right karma we could not only manifest destiny but also take absolute charge of life forever! At this stage of life Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism comes to our rescue. The sermon by Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita was sufficient to remove ignorance of human beings forever. The knower of Bhagavad Gita finally became knower of all… gained omniscience for all practical purposes! The knower of Bhagavad Gita finally becomes an enlightened one… a bodhi, a Jina! Human beings who thought God was in charge of our destiny were wrong.
By indulging in right karma… Punya karma we can manifest our destiny forever!
